information in a central repository for online reference. It also
drives runtime server-based applications where images, sounds and
data can be customized to a handset type on the fly. This
makes wireless applications faster to write and port, and cheaper to
manage.
Technical Description:
ThumbJive maintains a searchable repository
of information for BREW, J2ME, Symbian and WAP handsets
where we can quickly search and aggregate data on hardware
specification, API support, features and bugs. At runtime the client
handset profile can be determined on the server allowing for
real-time image transcoding, customized WML, appropriate data
caching strategies and more. The information can also be leveraged
at build time to customize behavior of a client application across
different hardware.
