TJ-WAP |
|
Architectural solutions for WAP and WAP2 based applications Business Proposition: WAP is a ubiquitous 'mobile web' platform supported by most cellphones, which is somewhat less capable than the binary platforms like BREW, J2ME and Symbian. However with WAP2, a newer version of the protocol, some of the limitations are disappearing. Features such as Push SMS - sending an SMS to the handset that directs to a WAP page - mean that WAP2 is a candidate for more wireless products and services. TJ-WAP enables WAP sites to be constructed that can be customized to individual phones and that integrate advanced SMS services. Technical Description: WAP pages are written in an abstract presentation language and then rendered through a transformation pipeline specific to each target client platform. This enables a fine degree of control over the rendering of server content across different platforms (WML, XHTML, Flash, HTML) and clients all from a single source. There are also server side libraries for easy handling of Push SMS and Premium SMS.
